Coaching

Why Coaching?

Clients achieve transformational performance through an empowering coaching relationship and a tailored process to define and achieve their goals. Coaching is all about getting RESULTS. Clients’ needs and situational landscape determine the most effective approach and may include creating a clear vision, developing goals, driving execution, and being held accountable.

Clients include individuals trying to make an impact in their professional and personal lives as well as small and medium-sized businesses that want to grow by identifying and leveraging the skills and competencies of their employees. When businesses invest in their employees and individuals invest in themselves, people are more equipped, empowered, aligned, and balanced. Everyone wins when teams collaborate and drive on their strengths.

  • Suggest and execute assessments and exercises to discover strengths, weaknesses, and leadership styles

  • Develop SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Aspirational/Agreed, Realistic/Relevant and Time-bound)
  • Monitor and address obstacles in achieving goals
  • Provide accountability

Coaching Session

Coaches and clients are equal partners, who co-construct the coaching relationship through vulnerable and empowering conversation. Coaches can administer written assessments, sometimes suggest, and lead with challenging and powerful questions, so clients can then decide on specific plans to achieve their defined goals. Coaching is grounded in the present with a focus toward the future, enabling people to move from where they stand to a position of where they want to be.

In addition to the time spent in session, coaches typically provide written exercises, document action plans, and follow-up with their clients between sessions. Coaching can be done in-person, over the phone, and via Skype.  Coaching is for anyone who strives to make a positive change in any area of their lives with success measured solely by the client achieving results.

Session Frequency

Session frequency is mutually agreed upon by the client and coach. They consider what the client wants to achieve, personal factors, and time constraints. Initially, clients and their coaches typically meet every other week for about 1 hour. As progress and momentum build, they then decide how the frequency should change while still ensuring the client gets the results.

Coaching Benefits

Everyone can benefit by partnering with a coach, who can provide the needed structure, space, and time for a client to figure out a vision, direction, and goals to move toward that vision. A coach will also challenge preconceived assumptions and help a client navigate around roadblocks. I encourage you to explore how a coach can help you achieve your dreams and goals.
